Iron Fist may have gotten a bad rap. After all, his season of television was the most poorly-received of the entire Defender group’s seasons, and despite bearing an obnoxiously long title that rivals His Royal Highness The Prince Charles Philip Arthur George, Prince of Wales, Earl of Chester…(you get the idea)…there’s still massive potential for the character.

In the comics, he’s known for teaming up with Luke Cage to create Heroes for Hire, and in The Defenders, they seemed to be taking the first steps towards establishing that iconic relationship. For better or worse (depending on your thoughts on Danny Rand as a character), that seems set to continue in the new season of Luke Cage.

EW has shared a new photo from Luke Cage Season 2, and in it, we see Luke and Danny together once again.

Sadly, there are no details surrounding the actual circumstances of their reunion. From the looks on their faces, it looks to be a less-than-ideal occasion, but you never know. It could just be a bad picture. There’s also no word on how extensive his role will be in the story. All we know is that he appears, so we guess that’ll have to hold us over.

What do you think would bring these two together once again? Let us know your guesses down below!

My name is Anakin and I’m the Iron Fist.
Master, is he not the Iron Fist.

Heroes For Hire. They better get a visit from SHIELD to verify they are not a threat to mankind.

Iron Fist gets absolutely no interest from me unless he’s wearing the outfit. Two different series and still no uniform…seems like they’re embarrassed by their own character…

Why though? He’s been the turd in the punch bowl since debuting in his first season last year. He’s not even going to have his traditional costume or both glowing fists. Also, why not recast him with an actor that has real martial arts experience? It’s the fact that Finn Jones is playing a skilled martial artist but has zero fighting training that some of us are aggravated about. Why are they taking such a long time to make this C-list Marvel superhero relevant in a TV show?
