Is John Cena Hinting At A Superhero Role?

We last saw John Cena last weekend in the first-ever Firefly Funhouse match against Bray Wyatt’s The Fiend during WrestleMania 36. It wasn’t much of a match rather a walk down Cena’s career. Recently he has been more focused on his acting career as he starred in Paramount Picture’s Bumblebee. His latest role that he wrapped up filming was in Warner Bros. Pictures’ Suicide Squad. Not to mention the F9 that got pushed to April of next year. So what’s next?

Cena may have given us a clue via his Instagram account. Although his first comic book film role won’t debut until 2021, it looks like he might already be eyeing his next one. No it’s not another DC character and he’s not jumping over to Marvel. Maybe an Image character? Nope. It’s could be a key role as a Valiant character. Check it out below!

It looks like Cena is hinting at a role as Aric of Daria aka the superhero X-O Manowar. He was originally a soldier that fought against the Roman Empire in the fifth century. Then an alien race known as The Vine kidnapped him and several others. They all suffered years of captivity until one day Aric led a revolt using the X-O Manowar armor named Shanara. He was the first human to ever survive the process of bonding with the armor. Sadly Aric made it back to Earth alone as The Vine killed almost everyone else. The only problem was that he arrived in the 21st century. Now he protects Earth as the hero X-O Manowar.

This may be nothing but an image he posted about a series he is reading. But it’s not out of the realm of possibility that he could be gearing up to play a hero. It had been rumored a few weeks ago that although Sony currently has the rights to Bloodshot, those may be moving over to Paramount along with X-O Manowar. They are desperate for another franchise for feature films and the Valiant Universe would be great. What would be cool in my opinion would be to one day see a Unity film, with a variety of Valiant heroes.
