Is Spider-Man: Homesick the new title?

I honestly wouldn’t have thought the new series of Spider-Man movies would take their title cues from the word “home.” I remember being underwhelmed when the first film was called Spider-Man: Homecoming, and surprised when Spider-Man: Far From Home ran with the home theme. Now, with this third film — which is currently set for a December 2021 release date — we’ve all been waiting to see what Sony and Marvel Studios come up with for the title.

Spider-Man: Far From Home left us at a point of no return. Peter Parker’s identity had been revealed to the whole world, leaving his future unknown. We’d honestly never had a Spider-Man on the big screen who wasn’t living in constant fear of having his identity revealed, so what would come next? Well, rumors have been speculating since last year, with titles like Spider-Man: Never Go Home making the rounds.

But what will the film actually be called? Scooper Charles Murphy recently took to his site to share some stuff he’s been noticing on certain sites like Maxim and Esquire. In the past, he noted the film being called Spider-Man: Homesick.

It’s worth pointing out that this isn’t a scoop. This is is just an instance of him noticing something many of us (myself included) haven’t noticed from those sites. And I can’t reiterate enough that this confirms nothing, though the film is apparently being referred to at Homesick in Atlanta. But, for all we know, that could just be the production title. Outlets get stuff like this wrong all the time. Even if this was true at one point, it could be changed any time.

That being said, this isn’t exactly a stretch for the title. If Peter Parker has been on the run from bounty hunters in the time between the second and third movie, then a name like Homesick would make sense.
