It’s well known that even though Spider-Man, played by Tom Holland, is not alive thanks to the events of Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War. But We know that in comic books, dead is rarely ever dead, so we have another Spider-Man film slated for July 5th, 2019. We will see the return of Holland as well as Michael Keaton, Zendaya and Marisa Tomei.

Along with the the returning actors and actresses we also have Jake Gyllenhall who is expected to play the role of the villain Mysterio. It is being reported by Deadline that Sony Pictures has signed J.B. Smoove to also join the cast of Spider-Man: Far From Home. At this time there is no word on the role he will be portraying, other than it is a lead in the ensemble.

Smoove will be shooting his role in the Spider-Man film before he returns to his regular role in Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm. He was recently in Lionsgate’s Uncle Drew but is also known for his roles in films like Hall Pass, Mr. Deeds and Date Night. He is repped by UTA, Authentic’s Rick Dorfman and attorney Roger Pliakas.
