In a recent social media post, James Gunn hypes Chuk Iwuji’s performance in Guardians 3. Whilst it’s never been officially stated, we know that Iwuji, who first worked with Gunn on Peacemaker, is playing the High Evolutionary in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Of course whilst we may know that, and have had a small tease of what Iwuji might look like in a BTS poster, we truly know nothing about how the Marvel comics character will be portrayed.
Replying to an interview with Iwuji on Peacemaker, Gunn said his performance in Guardians 3 is ‘explosive’. Check it out.
Wait till you see Chuk murder it in #GotGVol3 with a truly explosive performance. https://t.co/Xs439tNrxG

I mean, a director is gonna hype his own movie ans the actors he cast. However having watched all Gunn’s films and TV shows since Guardians of the Galaxy, he is just a director that makes movies I like, simple as that. I also thought Iwuji was phenomenal in Peacemaker, itself a great damn show.
I’m therefore more aligned to trust what Mr. Gunn says on this one. I look forward to seeing what Iwuji brings to the High Evolutionary in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Guardians 3 is now in post production alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. The Holiday Special is expected first to hit Disney+ this Winter. Then Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will hit theaters on May 5th of next year. Alongside the as yet undated Fantastic Four, Guardians 3 is the MCU movie I’m most hyped for. Well, I’d include Thor: Love and Thunder in that equation, but we are almost there with that one.
