Jamie Foxx Is Reportedly In Talks To Reprise His Role As Electro In The Next Spider-Man Film

According to The Hollywood Reporter Jamie Foxx is in the final stage of talks to reprise his role as the villain Electro in the next Tom Holland Spidey film. As George Costanza once said, “Worlds are colliding!” Of course George wasn’t talking about two different Spider-Man universes coming together.

However, that appears to be what is happening as Foxx returning as Electro will continue continue the crossing over of Spider-Man universes following  J.K. Simmons ‘return as J. Jonah Jameson in Spider-Man: Far From Home. It seems I am one of the few here at LRM who is on board with this idea, as most all of the others aren’t fans of the idea.

My view is more based on Jamie Foxx more than Electro. I just think the dude is super talentted and enjoy him in films, and would love for him to be a part of the modern superhero films. Judging from the nerd groups I am a member of it seems the Andrew Garfield (nothing against the actor) films are not as loved as the Tobey Maguire trilogy or the two most recent films starring Tom Holland (my favorite Spidey)

As I mentioned above, Holland is my favorite Spider-Man. This mainly comes from him being allowed to play in the same sandbox as his previously estranged Marvel family. I also like his portrayal of the character better. Maguire was great, and Garfield was also good in the role, though I think his version suffered from subpar films.
