As I’ve mentioned before, the premise for the Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, being a reboot, is one that I think is brilliant, there’s probably not a more organic way to bring them back to the screen. Not to mention the smorgasbord of stars that Smith was able to get to appear in the film, however, his best casting may have been saved for this clip of a movie, within a movie, the reboot of Bluntman and Chronic.
The clip made it’s way onto the Internet yesterday and has Val Kilmer (who was the second big-screen Batman after Michael Keaton) replacing Jason Biggs as Bluntman, Melissa Benoist (who plays Supergirl on the CW show of the same same) as the gender-swapped Chronic, and a bit of casting that I simply just love, Tommy Chong as a parody of Batman’s butler. You can check out the clip at the top of the article.

Pretty excited for this film, and even though it’s not a big franchise film, such as Star Wars or Marvel, I think I will make an exception to my theater rule and go check it out on the big screen, assuming it’s playing nearby.
An official synopsis for the film follows below.
“When Jay and Silent Bob discover that Hollywood is rebooting an old movie based on them, the clueless duo embark on another cross-country mission to stop it again!”
The Jay and Silent Bob Reboot is released October 15.
