Jeffrey Dean Morgan Assures Fans Of The Walking Dead That Season 9 Is Going To be ‘Goooood’

While the long-running show’s ratings aren’t quite what they have been in previous years, The Walking Dead has seen a slight improvement over the last couple of episodes. This is likely due to the fact that Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes is set to leave the show. The hype for Rick’s exit has likely brought back fans that were frustrated with the direction the show has been heading.

While it’s been a struggle to watch the last two seasons, I will admit that I am enjoying the current season so far, more than the last two seasons at the very least, and actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays the infamous Negan on the series recently took to his Twitter account to reassure fans that everything is going to be all right. You can take a look at his response to a fan on the social media platform below.

Negan has to get out of that cage at some point, right? Otherwise, why is he still alive? Although, Negan’s status among the living may change after Rick’s departure, as Lauren Cohan’s (who is also set to leave the show this season) Maggie Rhee seems to be wielding the most power in the current season, and as fans know, her husband Glen was brutally killed by Negan. Not killing Negan is the reason for the rift between the longtime friends Rick, Maggie, and Darryl, and it’s possible that Maggie’s final act on the show may be her finally getting justice for Glen.
