After a three year hiatus it seems that Jeremy Renner is jumping back into the grind to become Hawkeye. The Marvel Disney+ series plans to start shooting in early 2021 so it would make sense for Renner to start getting back into shape.
While Jeremy Renner didn’t have to bulk up like Chris Hemsworth for the MCU films, he did have to get in shape to for his action sequences. In order to don the black and purple suit again for the Disney+ series Renner will need to get into lean shape. While most people think that using a Bow/Arrow would be easy and not take any athleticism but that isn’t the case. Renner has stated before that it takes immense strength to make it seem so simple to shoot arrows. It makes sense why Renner is training before showing up for filming the Disney+ series.

The video shows some of the rehabilitation tools Renner will be using during his training. Most of those tools help with blood flow circulation to reduce soreness and swelling of muscles. When used properly this allows the athlete to recover faster and workout more aggressively. Jeremy mentions that each tool causes immense pain which he is not wrong. In the short run using those tools cause intense pain, but the payoff is it reduces long term soreness.
There still is not a clear synopsis of what the famed archer will be doing. The most common theory is that the series will take place after Avengers: Endgame with Barton maybe have to pay for his actions as Ronin. The Hawkeye series is scheduled to debut at the earliest end of 2021 but more likely an early 2022 premiere.
