According to the latest Barside Buzz, Marvel rumored to share all-star casting announcements at this year’s D23 Expo. Luckily for us, we won’t have to wait long to find out if there are any truths to these claims. D23 kicks off this weekend as you can see from the header image above.

Lately Marvel and Star Wars leaks have clammed up tighter than a two coats of concrete. Well, unless you include the leaks for The Acolyte who were shut down hard in the past week. Probably one of the major reasons for this has been the sheer amount of detailed spoilers we’ve had recently. Most new Marvel films or shows have been pretty much spoiled in advance, and that goes with Star Wars as well. We know Disney took action, though exactly what that action entails I cannot say. We can however, I think, see the results if this action as rumors have dried up.

Get To The Rumor Already

Frankly this whole rumors game has gotten a little boring lately. Though I think I do prefer this as a fan to all spoilers everywhere at once kinda deal we had going. Anyway Cam, the readers came here for the Marvel rumored all-star casting buzzamajig.

Check out this post from DisInsider‘s Skyler Shuler, which is responding to a claim from @RadioEmmet that some big names are due to be announced by Marvel at D23.

Anyone who has read my coverage of rumors and spoilers knows I really dislike the whole wink and nod game some insiders do. It’s like people are too frightened to be wrong, so if they don’t state something specifically they can claim later they didn’t get it wrong because that’s not what they meant.

Now, I have to say that Shuler does not normally do that like some. I am therefore more inclined to say he’s not directly saying that Daisy Edgar Jones is Sue Storm, but saying it would be cool. I can’t tell you that for sure though, maybe this is a hint that DisInsider has heard Jones name connected with Sue?

As for the rest of those all-stars up in that image? there are a few rumors we can point to. We shared a rumor not long ago that Cavill was in discussions to play Hyperion, the MCU version of Superman, but bad. I hope however that was wrong, because I think Cavill can do better than a second rate villain. Jones has been connected to Sue Storm rumors. John Krasinski has actual played the character already in the MCU, albeit from another Multiverse. Though, there are some rumors that if he does show up it won’t be as Reed. Very strange if true.

Giancarlo Esposito has been clamoring to become the MCU Professor X for ages. However that’s always seemed like it was a one way desire, for now anyway.

As for Boyega, Comer and Washington? I have no idea and have yet to hear of any rumors (from reliable sources) about of of these actors. However given how the leaks have dried up, I rule out nothing at this stage. Could Boyega be Johnny Storm or is he a bit too old for that one. Could Washington be the MCU Reed Richards, Professor X or Doctor Doom? Your guesses are as good as mine for now.
