The DC Extended Universe that almost was. We may never fully know what Zack Snyder had planned for his take the characters of DC comics. Of course, the now fabled Snyder Cut could shed some light on the situation, assuming it exists and will be released one day, but it is not this day.

Until then we’ll all just have to speculate on what it could have been. One part of that Snyderverse that tends to be on the top of the what could have been list is Joe Manganiello as the character Deathstroke. A bonus scene tease of the character appeared at the end of Justice League. Manganiello recently spoke at New York Comic-Con, though he didn’t say much as to where his Deathstroke stands within the DCEU, you can check it out below.

“Someday I’ll write a book about it, but that time is… yeah.”

All that I can really get form that quote is that the experience has been less than pleasurable for Manganiello, but that is just me thinking out loud. It also appears as if he may still be legally obligated to not say too much, so that could leave one to believe, namely me, that there still may be hope for this version of the character,  or it could be that the original contracts he signed were longterm. Hopefully, we have to wait for Manganiello’s book to learn what’s going on
