John Boyega Has Watched Way Too Much Anime During Quarantine (Video)

You think John Boyega likes anime?

If there’s anything we can all relate to these days, it’s quarantine. Worldwide, many of us have had to spend weeks and months sitting around, watching too much TV, baking too much bread, or finding the most random hobbies. We’ve seen actors turn to random creative projects to keep busy in this time. This includes Josh Gad’s Reunited Apart or Brie Larson’s incredibly random YouTube channel. But, of course, they aren’t alone.

Star Wars actor John Boyega may most recently be known for his involvement in the Black Lives Matter protests following the murder of George Floyd, but it sounds like he’s also been watching a lot of anime in quarantine. The evidence? Well, there’s a new video he posted on Instagram that shows a confrontation with a friend over a carton of juice.

Avatar: The Last Juice Drinker (we watched too much anime in quarantine 🤣)

The short video features plenty of intense cuts and cheesy VFX that would feel at home in any anime. It’s fitting that Boyega posted the video with the following caption.

“Avatar: The Last Juice Drinker (we watched too much anime in quarantine 🤣)”

Sadly, the video just a few seconds long, and cuts off before some any action can get underway. If I’m to offer any advice for you, Mr. Boyega (because I know you’re definitely reading this), it’s to hire Chris Cowan to help you finish the video. The filmmaker has worked on big Hollywood movies but has also posted an exceptional YouTube series where he perfectly brings to life anime-style battles.

So, how much do you think John Boyega watches anime? Let us know your best guesses down below!
