Who knew the guy that played prankster Jim Halpert on NBC‘s The Office could take us through a masterclass in building tension and suspense? We definitely learned a thing or two about Krasinkski’s skills while watching his surprise hit A Quiet Place.
The actor and director now teases that the upcoming sequel will give us more of what the first film had and that it will even be scarier. You can check out what Krasinski had to say while speaking with ExtaButter below.
“I think you’re gonna be really scared. I mean the truth is, I think again organically you’re more scared because you care about these characters. In the first movie you were getting to know them. Now you know them, you don’t want anything to happen to them. The sound’s much more intense because you know the rules of sound. And so my point was to make the audience part of the movie.”

For me, the first film was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. I hadn’t been on the edge of my seat, sort of speak in quite some time. The last time was likely during a riveting episode of Game of Thrones. Since The Office ended in 2013 Krasinski has displayed that he is so much more than a comedic actor. Captivating us with his directorial skills as well as his ability to write a compelling story.
