Johnny Cage Meets his Fellow Earth Realm Warriors In This Clip From Mortal Kombat Scorpion’s Revenge

While in the not-so-distant future (hopefully) fans of the Mortal Kombat franchise will finally be getting a long-overdue live-action reboot, today we have a clip from the animated film Mortal Kombat: Scorpion’s Revenge.

In the clip we see Johnny Cage introducing himself to the Shaolin monk Liu Kang, as well as Raiden. Cage hasn’t yet realized the gravity of the situation and really has no idea what he’s in for. This is the first footage of the film that has been released and it does look promising.

I’ve been a fan of the franchise ever since I walked into the arcade one day to play Street Fighter II (as I did most days back then) and discovered Mortal Kombat. Digital sprites, blood, fatalities, and secret characters, it was everything a 12-year-old kid could have wanted back in the early 90s.

Mortal Kombat: Scorpion’s Revenge features Joel McHale as Johnny Cage, Jennifer Carpenter as Sonya Blade, Steve Blum as Sub-Zero. Jordan Rodrigues as Scorpion & Hanzo Hasashi.

Mortal Kombat: Scorpion’s Revenge will be released on April 12
