Disney will enter into the streaming wars this November when it’s service, Disney+, premieres. Many shows from the world of Marvel comics, and a galaxy far, far away are set to help get the platform off to a good start. One of the more anticipated series is Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian. While the first season won’t debut for another five months, Favreau is already hard at work on the second season of the show.
The news came from Favreau himself while on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where he confirmed he was hard at work, although no official word has been given on a potential second season (though given that it’s Star Wars, a second season seems likely).
Here’s what Favreau had to say about the series as whole:
“All hell is breaking loose in the outer rim, and it’s about the scum and villainy that now wants to take out the rule of law. What happens? Chaos takes over.”

Very excited for this series and it will be great to hold fans over for the last little bit of wait until Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker releases in December.
Starring in the titular role wil be Pedro Pascal (Narcos, Game of Thrones), former MMA figter Gina Carano, along with Carl Weather and Nick Nolte. Notable directors of the first season is the man behind Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, Dave Filoni, and Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi.
The Mandalorian debuts on Disney+ November 12.
