Josh Brolin is ‘Itching’ To Return As Cable Says Deadpool Creator Rob Liefeld

Josh Brolin’s career has encompassed many beloved and iconic characters. From Bran Walsh in The Goonies to his Llewelyn Moss in No Country For Old Men, and his recent turn as comic book characters, Thanos, and Cable. With Disney buying Fox last year and acquiring estranged Marvel properties such as the X-Men, if Brolin felt so inclined there would likely be an opportunity for him to return as Cable.

Well, guess what? Brolin would be interested in reprising the role of Cable. Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld said as much during his interview with Comicbook.com. You can check out what he had to say below.

“I’m going to tell your viewers…Josh wants to be Cable again sooner than late. [Brolin] He is itching to be Cable again. He loved being Cable. He told me he understands how beloved his role as Thanos is, but he doesn’t look completely like Josh Brolin.”

As far as I’m concerned, and I would assume most of you readers would agree, Brolin is more than welcome to return as Cable. He and Ryan Reynolds had some wonderful chemistry that I think we all deserve to see more of in future films.

When the world returns to normal, we’ll hopefully get a clearer picture of Disney’s future plans. And how they plan to incorporate their newly acquired properties into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While their acquisition of Fox is much more than the comic book properties, for us nerds, it’s really the part of the deal we care most about.
