In Juju Journey Brener’s short career, she can add action film into her filmography resume. Not only that, she acted alongside Morgan Freeman and Ruby Rose in Vanquish.

For this action film, Brener stars as the daughter of a former drug courier (played by Rose), who must perform pickup tasks for a retired police officer (played by Freeman) in order to see her again.

The action-packed film pits Rose against various thugs and goons as no one can get in the way of saving her child.

George Gallo (writer of Bad Boys and Midnight Run) directed the movie from a script he wrote with Samuel Bartlett (The Grand Design).

LRM Online’s Gig Patta spoke with the young actress Juju Journey Brener on starring alongside Ruby Rose and Morgan Freeman in the movie. We talked about her ambitions, career start, and even taking classes.

By the age of 5, Juju Journey Brener already had two films under her belt with Pearl and Manolita at the Cannes Films Festivals. Her other films Point & Dream and A Beautiful Day won multiple awards in the film festival circuit. Currently, she can be seen on Hulu in the retro comedy VHYes with Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, and directed by Jack Henry Robbins. Also, she lends her voice in the animated film Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs. She appeared in the pilot for Adult Swim’s Your Son Has Been Kidnapped and guest-starred for Funny or Die’s Common Core shorts with Brian Husky and Kate Flannery

Vanquish is now playing in select theaters, digitally and On Demand today. Also, the movie releases on DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesday, April 27.
