With June now behind us we are getting geared up for another month of releases in theaters and at home! At the end of this month, Disney’s Jungle Cruise is set to be released. It follows the line of films from House of the Mouse based on their popular Disneyland theme park rides. The film’s lead includes two powerhouses in Hollywood, Emily Blunt, and Dwayne Johnson.
They have come up with a creative way to release footage for us. Making what they are calling “dueling trailers” for Jungle Cruise. One trailer focuses on Johnson’s Frank Wolff. While the other on Dr. Lilly Houghton. Both of the actors take a few seconds to introduce their trailers and make sure to let us all know that theirs is the legit trailer. Also, they don’t seem to remember their co-star’s names. All in good fun! Along with that Disney has also released very cool-looking character posters that are also included with this piece.

Here is the synopsis for the film provided by Disney:
Inspired by the famous Disneyland theme park ride, Disney’s “Jungle Cruise” is an adventure-filled, rollicking thrill-ride down the Amazon with wisecracking skipper Frank Wolff and intrepid researcher Dr. Lily Houghton. She travels from London, England to the Amazon jungle and enlists Frank’s questionable services to guide her downriver on La Quila—his ramshackle-but-charming boat.
Lily is determined to uncover an ancient tree with unparalleled healing abilities. Possessing the power to change the future of medicine. Thrust on this epic quest together, the unlikely duo encounters innumerable dangers and supernatural forces, all lurking in the deceptive beauty of the lush rainforest. But as the secrets of the lost tree unfold, the stakes reach even higher for Lily and Frank and their fate—and mankind’s—hangs in the balance.
Jaume Collet-Serra directs the film, which stars Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Edgar Ramírez and Jack Whitehall, with Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti. The producers are John Davis and John Fox of Davis Entertainment; Dwayne Johnson, Hiram Garcia and Dany Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions; and Beau Flynn of Flynn Picture Co., with Scott Sheldon and Doug Merrifield serving as executive producers.

It’s such a fun way to promote Jungle Cruise. Especially with the kind of charisma that both Blunt and Johnson have. It would be fun if they continued to do trailers like this as it makes them a bit more interactive and interesting.
