According to the latest Barside Buzz Kang will get company as the villain in Avengers 5, plus Mister Sinister to be the villain of the X-Men reboot and more. However, where better to start than at the beginning. Namely that my use of Avengers 5 instead of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is now official. Disney is officially calling that movie Avengers 5 for now. I’m sure  anew title will be given eventually.

Now on to the rumors, all from Daniel RPK on his Patreon.

To begin with RPK says that Kang is still the villain of Avengers 5. However, he will not be alone as Marvel wants to add another villain into the mix. No mention of which villain, so we’ll have to wait and see on that front. However, I’m almost 100% fans will jump to one of two conclusions. Doctor Doom or Thanos return. Both have been rumored in the past, though not from sources I normally cover. One of the rumors of Thanos would be that he would be working for a variant of Kang. Doom, well he’s coming, so I’m not gonna explain why fans will assume it’s Doom. However, bear in mind this is what I think fans will guess at, not a claim.

Now onto that Mister Sinister rumor.

We all know at some point the X-Men are getting rebooted in the MCU and we will get an X-Men movie. Well, according to RPK the current favourite villain for this reboot is Mister Sinister. It’s actually arguably the most popular choice among fans for a start. However Sinister hasn’t been used (teased but not used) in any previous live-action X-Men movies. Therefore, I think this would be an extremely wise choice for the first X-Men MCU film. Though it is early days and many things could change before that film even gets a writer and director.

Finally RPK says he’s heard that the Ghost Rider that eventually comes to the MCU will not be the same one that was used within Agents of SHIELD. That seems to just make logical sense to me and I doubt anyone thought the MCU would canonise AOS just to use the same actor.
