Keegan Connor Tracy got to use her social psychology degree into her career in acting. Her approach with characters in films or television is to psychoanalyze the characters she plays and the ones she interacts with. This method strengthens the roles she portrays on screen.

In Z, Tracy plays Elizabeth Parsons, a concerned mother with a son who befriended an imaginary friend. With this role, she used her knowledge on how to act with a child on and off-screen.

The film also stars Jett Klyne (The Boy, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Sean Rogerson (Grave Encounters, Underworld: Evolution), Sara Canning (A Series of Unfortunate Events, War for the Planet of the Apes), and Stephen McHattie (The Fountain, Watchmen).

Brandon Christensen (Still/Born) directed the film from the script written by him and Colin Minihan (Grave Encounters, Extraterrestrial).

Here’s the synopsis of the film:

In the film, when Beth’s (Tracy) son (Klyne) brings home an imaginary friend named “Z,” she becomes concerned that he is falling too deep into a world of make-believe. He starts to display extremely destructive behavior, blaming Z for all of his actions. But after he gets kicked out of school, Beth is forced to find a solution. She medicates her son, making him unable to see his imaginary companion. But now Beth sees Z…and he wants to be her friend.
