Kevin Feige Hypes Kang Ahead Of Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is currently only the second MCU movie to be sitting at rotten status on RT.

Marvel boss Kevin Feige hypes up Kang ahead of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Feige spoke to Empire Online recently in a promo for the next MCU movie to hit theatres. Whilst we fan have met Jonathan Majors already in the MCU playing He Who Remains, we have yet to meet this version of him. Feige start with how perfect Kang was as the next ‘Big-Bad’ of the Multiverse Saga.

“He is the obvious choice as you’re dealing with the Multiverse,” MCU boss Kevin Feige tells Empire in the world-exclusive Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania issue. “Kang allowed us to do a new kind of Big Bad. He’s a different type of villain, warring amongst themselves as much as he’s warring with our heroes.”

Feige also teases just how Kang ties into the Ant-Man family.

“Kang’s a very powerful person, but when we meet him he’s in a position where he needs to get that power back,” teases Feige. “He has a ship and a device that would allow him to go anywhere, and anywhen he wants if he can get it online. If only he had access to genius scientists with Pym particles.” If only, indeed…

Intriguing. There is also an image I cannot share, which you’ll find in the link above. It shows Kang sitting on a what looks like a throne. One wonders if that is the seat of his ship, or the more comic book inspired time chair itself?

Finally Majors himself says this in the article.

“Kang adds tonal diversity, real conflict and real friction,” he promises. “You’re being introduced to a new vibration in the MCU. There’s conflict – not just mano-a-mano, not just hero and villain, but ‘your way of life’ and ‘my way of life’. I’m coming for it. We’re in battle here.”

I’m excited for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, I may actually catch this one opening weekend which I have not done since Spider-Man: No Way Home.

What do you think of his comments as Kevin Feige hypes up Kang? as always, share any thoughts you have below.
