Marvel Producer Says X-Men Reboot Still In Early Stages – Confirms Harry Styles Return As Starfox

Director Matthew Vaughn recently detailed the crazy reason he left X-Men: The Last Stand. This is definitely worth reading.

Speaking with Deadline recently, Marvel producer Nate Moore says the X-Men reboot is still in the very early stages. Though Moore did name two X-Men characters he can’t wait to see on screen. Moore also confirmed Harry Styles return as Starfox, though he’s not saying where that next appearance will be.

Moore appeared on Deadline’s Crew Call show, and here is what he said when asked abut which black characters he is looking forward to seeing in the MCU.

“There’s no secret the X-Men are coming home, if you talk Storm and Bishop, they’re two of the great characters in that franchise,” says Moore who emphasizes, “we’re early, early days” on that reboot.

Moore then went on to say we should expect to see more of Harry Styles as Starfox going forward.

“We didn’t cast Harry for a tag,” says Moore who also produced that MCU title, “(There’s) more stories to be told with that character.”

“He has an interesting connection with Thanos; they’re half-brothers and share the same father.”

Adds Moore, “He’s a complicated character, but a really fun character.”

I doubt there was any doubt among the fans that Starfox would return. As Moore says, they didn’t go through the casting process of hiring Harry Styles just so they had a cool post-credit scene. So far though despite rumors it’s in development, we’ve heard nothing official about an Eternals sequel.

As for X-Men, rumors around that the reason so many Fox actors keep showing up is due to contractual agreements made under Fox previously which state the actors incumbent have to be offered the parts until a certain date. To be honest that may have been one of the reasons (if true) that Marvel chose to go with the Multiverse Saga next? It gets mileage out of those previous actors whilst allowing the MCU to begin it’s own time in the future after this saga has concluded. Presumably by then, it will be time of that reboot and recasting to take place? Though again, I’ll stress these are just rumors abut the contracts. Marvel have made no statements indicating whether this is true, or false thus far.

What do you think as Marvel producer Nate Moore says the X-Men reboot is still in the very early stages. What do you think as Moore conforms Harry Styles will return as Starfox? Where and when do you expect to see Styles show up next? As always, leave any thoughts below.
