Agatha: Coven of Chaos sets directors ahead of the shoot beginning next week. Plus we have a Hulkling casting rumor to share from the show. First of all, the official information shared by THR.
The trade reports production gets underway tomorrow in Atlanta.
Jac Schaeffer, who is serving as head writer and executive producer on the show, has stepped up to act as a director of multiple episodes. Joining her are Gandja Monteiro, hot off of directing one of the biggest shows of 2022 in Wednesday, as well as Rachel Goldberg, who counts Peacock’s A Friend of the Family and Netflix’s Resident Evil series among her recent credits.
The expansive cast includes Aubrey Plaza, Heartstopper breakout Joe Locke, stage star Patti LuPone, comedian Sasheer Zamata, former Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress Emma Caulfield and That ’70s Show motherly mainstay Debra Jo Rupp.
David Payton, David Lengel, Asif Ali, Amos Glick, Brian Brightman, and Kate Forbes, all of whom appeared on WandaVision, are returning for the spinoff.
Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili and Maria Dizzia are newcomers to Agatha.

Now that last line is where our rumor part of this story goes. The Barside Buzz is that Miles Gutierrez-Riley is the actor who has been cast as Hulkling in the MCU. If you don’t know the character from the comics, Hulkling is probably most famous for being the partner of Wiccan, son of Wanda. There were casting calls looking for what most following felt to be Hulkling way back. Well according to Murphy’s Multiverse, it’s Miles Gutierrez-Riley that has the part. In the comics Hulkling has nothing to do with Hulk, despite the name. Hulkling is half Skrull/half Kree, which is pretty unusual for those mortal enemies.
Now MM does not say this comes from a source. Instead they theory out this piece of casting based on casting calls and other details. However, until we know for sure there is always doubt. Personally, I think MM has nailed it with who is playing Hulkling, but we wait and see.
