Now, it’s worth noting that Campea is someone with contacts in the industry. However, I do find it hard to believe that Chapek has stripped back Feige’s power. Just look at the content announced at SDCC. It kinda seems to me like Feige is getting to make as many shows and movies as he wants, his way.
Why would Chapek jeopardize the cash cow of the MCU on something like this? Then, what do I know? I certainly don’t have any contacts that could hold up to Campea’s so if this is what he’s hearing then it must have come from somewhere?
However the suggestion that Feige could quit Disney for WB and DC seems just too far for me. I know it would be a coup for WB. However Feige would also know he’d be starting from the ground up again with DC. With Marvel though, it kinda looks from the outside, like he’s getting whatever he wants. Plus, the MCU is already world renowned and proven to put butts on seats at theatres.

Lastly, would a studio like WB who have a far bigger reputation for interference really allow Feige carte blanche, an open checkbook? I have a feeling the Disney shareholders would vote Chapek out and someone else in before they allowed that to happen. Though, I’ve been surprised and shocked by this industry many times before, and it’ll happen again.
