Kevin Lewis feels like a survivor after battling coronavirus in the hospital.
The director caught the virus before the official premiere Willy’s Wonderland last week, in which he was hospitalized for a couple of weeks. Like the Janitor, a character in the movie, he battled and overcame all odds for survival.
Then again, battling murderous animatronics Willy’s Wonderland is a work of fiction. Well, fighting murderous animatronics and coronavirus are both terrifying.
The film stars Nicolas Cage in the primary role of the Janitor. The rest of the cast included Emily Tosta, Beth Grant, Ric Reitz, Chris Warner, Kai Kadlec, Caylee Cowan, Jonathan Mercedes, Terayle Hill, Christian Delgrosso, and David Sheftell. Lewis directed the film from a script written by G.O. Parsons.
Here’s the official synopsis:
A quiet loner (Cage) finds himself stranded in a remote town when his car breaks down. Unable to pay for the repairs he needs, he agrees to spend the night cleaning Willy’s Wonderland, an abandoned family fun center. But this wonderland has a dark secret that this “Janitor” is about to discover. He soon finds himself locked in an epic battle with possessed animatronic mascots that roam the halls. To survive, he must fight his way through each of them.
