Kingdom Hearts fans already know that the Kingdom Hearts III DLC Re Mind is ready for consumption, and that brings with it a lot of cool new stuff. In addition to some new abilities and keyblades, there’s a whole new tale that comes along with it — the Re Mind story in question. But if that wasn’t enough to wet your Kingdom Hearts whistle, there was another unexpected announcement.

Out of nowhere, the social media account for something called Project Xehanort emerged. At least that’s the name they’re going with for now until they come up with a new title.

While details are limited as to what the heck this thing is, it is does seem to ask the question of…”Why did he become the seeker of darkness?” The “he” in question being the character of Xehanort. But as far as gameplay, it looks to be an iOS and Android experience, so expect the gameplay to fit the mobile landscape more than the console landscape.
