Kingsman: The Great Game Reportedly Eyeing Brad Pitt And Rachel Weisz

The world of Kingsman is set to expand very quickly with the impending sequel and prequel film, Kingsman: The Great Game. After spending three films with the super-secret spy agency, we’ll be going back in time to the Great War, and a much different time for the Kingsman. We reported in the past that Ralph Fiennes would be joining as an older character, but now we have a few more pieces of casting rumors.

According to our friends over at That Hashtag Show, we have a potential confirmation and some big names in the mix for some other roles. The film will follow the son of a British Duke who wants to serve in the war, and the Kingsman agency is giving him an opportunity to do just that. The kid set to play the cocky young Conrad is Harry Dickinson, who, in addition to having an unfortunate name, recently appeared on the big screen in the YA sci-fi superhero movie The Darkest Minds. Circling the role of Conrad’s nanny, Polly, is the Oscar-winning Rachel Weisz.

Perhaps the craziest piece of casting is that this film will reportedly feature Grigori Rasputin — the controversial Russian figure who manipulated the Tsar and his family and exercised a great deal of power as a result. At the top of the list is Brad Pitt, of all people. Rasputin will just be one of a few different WWI figures, which also includes Archduke Ferdinand co-assassin Gavrilo Princip, who will work for a “cruel and vindictive” shadowy figure named Shepherd. Other names include double agent Mata Hari and Irish Secretary of State for War General Herbert Kitchener.

So it looks like they’re going all-in on this history thing, which is pretty cool. I’m all for the Rasputin angle and hope they try and play that up, but what do you think? Let us know down below!
