Kumail Nanjiani In Talks To Join Marvel Studios’ The Eternals

Comedian Kumail Nanjiani’s has been on quite the upward trajectory for the past couple years. Sure, he’s been working in TV and movies for many years now, but between his comedy work on Silicon Valley and his more dramatic work in The Big Sick, he’s proven to be a pretty versatile actor. He also recently starred in the first episode of the reboot of the Rod Serling series The Twilight Zone.

The sky seems the limit for the Hollywood talent, and in this case, maybe even the galaxy beyond. According to a new report from THR, Nanjiani may be the latest actor to head into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. More specifically, he is in negotiations to star in the Angelina Jolie-starring movie The Eternals. Unfortunately, it is unclear who Nanjiani will be in talks to play in Marvel’s ambitious galactic adventure.

The Eternals is set to be directed by Chinese filmmaker Chloe Zhao, who is known for her indie films Songs My Brothers Taught Me and The Rider. Here is how the outlet describes the project.

“The project features the super-powered and near-immortal beings known as Eternals and a more monstrous off-shoot known as the Deviants that were created by cosmic beings known as Celestials.’
