It seems we have a better idea of what Jaimie Alexander was hinting at with a Lady Sif return to the Marvel Universe. In a Instagram post earlier this month Jaimie posted an image of Lady Sif with a comment of “I am pretty confident she’ll be back”. In an updated post Jaimie shared that she is en route to Atlanta for work. We know that Marvel has their studio in Atlanta and the show that we know that will be filming soon in that location is the Loki series. It would make sense to see Lady Sif show up in the Loki series since it appears to take place on Asgard. Hopefully we will get an announcement soon regarding the upcoming Disney+ series.
Could Lady Sif make a return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe? It appears that Jaimie Alexander is pretty confident that she will be back in some sort of fashion. In an Instagram post on her page seems to insinuate that the Asgardian warrior will be back. Now the question is when and where we could see this character reenter?
The last time Lady Sif was a part of the MCU was all the way back in Thor: Dark World and she was absent in the final battle scene of Avengers: Endgame. There was not a real explanation of the where Sif was during the battle. We did find out that Jaimie was invited last minute to be in Thor: Ragnarok but she was too busy filming Blindspot. There was never an explanation given as why Marvel did not have her in Endgame at any part. Most fans thought that we would not see Sif again but with this post there is some hope now.

It could very well be that we could see Jaimie Alexander return as Lady Sif in Thor: Love And Thunder or a future Marvel project. If she doesn’t come back for the upcoming Thor film there could be a possibility for the upcoming Doctor Strange 2 movie that seems to be casting everyone in Hollywood. Another possibility could see Lady Sif in the upcoming Loki Disney+ series.
Thor: Love And Thunder is scheduled to start filming in early 2021. Most of the confirmed cast is already together in Australia where filming is set to take place.
This is all purely speculation and fan entertainment. I personally think Lady Sif was underused and it was a mistake not to include her in Avengers: Endgame. What do you think? Would you be excited for Lady Sif to come back into the MCU?
