Charon, the hotel concierge, can be stoic and secretive about the events and people in the Continental Hotel.
And actor Lance Reddick is very tight-lipped in regards to the production of John Wick: Chapter 3.
In a phone interview for the upcoming horror comedy The Domestics, LRM Online tried to pry some secrets or spoilers about his possible bigger role in the final chapter of the John Wick series. Alas, we failed. He couldn’t divulge any secrets.
But, he did want to give us a teaser for fans of our site.
He told us that despite Ian McShane’s major presence in the first two movies and seemingly tight relationship with his character Charon, they will finally interact physically in the third film.
“The one thing that I can say in this one is that I get to talk to Ian McShane. [Laughs] In the first [two] movies, even though I was his right-hand man, we didn’t have any scenes together.”
For some unknown reason, I thought they did share screen time together. Now thinking back, their characters were at the Continental Hotel, but not specifically interacting together on the spot. This is a great teaser that Ian McShane’s Winston and Lance Reddick’s Charon will probably team up for some kind plot against or for John Wick.
Obviously, Keanu Reeves will be returning as the title character. Other cast members likely returning for part three may be Ruby Rose, Laurence Fishburne, John Leguizamo and Common.
Here’s the official synopsis:
John Wick is on the run for two reasons…..he’s being hunted for a global $14 million open contract on his life, and for breaking a central rule: taking a life on Continental Hotel grounds. The victim was a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed, except the Continental’s manager, Winston, has given him a one-hour grace period before he’s “Excommunicado” – membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from the other members. John uses the service industry to stay alive as he fights and kills his way out of New York City.
John Wick: Chapter 3 will be in theaters on May 17, 2019.
