Check out the latest spot for The Book of Boba Fett below titled ‘Reign’. This latest Boba Fett spot confirms flashbacks and canonizes a video game map from Battlefront II.
Not a whole lot of new footage, but some of it was very informative,. In the shot I have added below, you can see Boba Fett go and pick up his ship. I want to call it Slave-1, but we all know that’s been changed to Firespray. Now this could be something that happens in the current timeline. Although, why is Fett wearing the same outfit he was in The Mandalorian Season 2. Most likely it is because this is a flashback to before Fett got his armor back from Din Djarrin in Season 2.
If there are flashbacks, that could mean we get some that go further back, showing us what Fett’s been up to for the last few years. It seems a given we’d at least need an explanation for how Fett escaped the clutches of the Sarlaac. The inclusion of flashbacks is something we have been predicted for some time on The Cantina. The name The Book of Boba Fett even makes you think we would not just be exploring events post Mando S2. That’s a rumor we had also heard through the grapevine, though never anything certain enough to run as an exclusive. We did talk about this a few times on the show though in the past.

Finally this shot seen above also canonizes a video game map, specifically one from Star Wars: Battlefront II which was supposed to be canon anyway. Although, I guess I never figured that also went as far as some of the multiplayer maps. Yep. the Hangar from Jabba’s Palace looks very similar to how it was depicted in that game. Albeit with a different vehicle inside and a few small changes over time.
What do you think as this latest Boba Fett spot confirms flashbacks for The Book of Boba Fett? Are you pleased they have kept continuity with the video game as well? Sound off below.
