Let’s Hear It From The Boy Jack Quaid And Superhero Erin Moriarty From ‘The Boys’ [Exclusive Interview]

Hughie (Jack Quaid) may not be a superhero in The Boys, he may not be a soldier, but he is freakin’ awesome! Although, he is not the smartest cookie when it comes to choosing his love interest, Starlight (Erin Moriarty).

In season one Starlight joins the Seven. Her image of the Supes shatters as she uncovers their real persona. In the middle of her disappointment, she meets one of The Boys, Hughie. They open her eyes to far more truth and she helps them by exposing Compound-V. Not everything goes as expected at the end of the first season. Starlight feels used by The Boys, but mainly Hughie. The Romeo and Juliet of the series continue the love troubles.

Erin Moriarty started her career in television with roles in the Emmy-nominated soap opera One Life to Live and Emmy-winning and Golden-nominated True Detective. Her first film was The Watch with Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn and Jonah Hill. She went on to other films like Blood Father with Mel Gibson and Captain Fantastic. Moriarty had her first starring role in the true story The Miracle Season alongside Helen Hunt.

The talent runs in Jack Quaid’s veins; he’s the son of Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid. Quaid is an actor, writer and producer. His acting career started with small roles in Hunger Games and Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Recently it was announced he is a part of the Scream 5  cast. He has shown his talent as a writer. He starred in Sasquatch Sketching Comedy and After Lily, the latter was a short, romance, comedy he produced.

I had a fun Zoom chat with Jack Quaid and Erin Moriarty. Quaid tells us about the awesome surprises Hughie has for season two. Moriarty shares a little on how Starlight’s character continues to develop on what she believes in. The actors also give a little information on the relationship between Starlight and the new peer Stormfront (Aya Cash). We of course had a laugh talking about the The Boys clip that premiered during Comic-Con @Home.
