Lex Scott Davis On Playing Bello’s Daughter In ABC’s Rebel [Exclusive Interview]

This Thursday, ABC will premiere its new legal drama, Rebel. We currently live in a world where advocating for what we believe is right is more important than ever. Using the power of social media, rallies, protests people have been able to affect change in different aspects of our lives. Rebel follows Bello, a character inspired by the life of Erin Brockovich. With Kate Sagal leading the way as Bello, it’s sure to be a good time!

Here is the synopsis for ABC’s Rebel:

Inspired by the life of Erin Brockovich today, Annie “Rebel” Bello is a blue-collar legal advocate without a law degree. She’s a funny, messy, brilliant and fearless woman who cares desperately about the causes she fights for and the people she loves. When Rebel applies herself to a fight she believes in, she will win at almost any cost.

Along with Sagal the series also stars, John Corbett, James Lesure, Lex Scott Davis, Tamala Jones, Ariela Barer, Kevin Zegers, Sam Palladio, and Andy Garcia. Rebel is executive produced by Krista Vernoff and Alexandre Schmitt, Erin Brockovich, John Davis, and John Fox, Andrew Stearn, Marc Webb, and Adam Arkin.

Ahead of its release, LRM Online spoke with Lex Scott Davis. She is a multitalented actress that has starred in films like Superfly and The First Purge.  She plays Cassidy, Bello’s daughter. During our interview, we get to know more about her character and what we can expect from the series. We also talk about the timing of the series and what it was like working with Katey Sagal.
