Mortal Kombat fans are 10 days away from the release of a film that looks like it will bring the franchise the adaptation it deserves. In the video below you can hear from the kast of the film who all seem excited and confident the film will deliver to fans what they’ve long waited for.

Not to bash the films made in the 90s again, but they were less than satisfactory. So I do hope the film is good, not only for the franchise’s redemption but in hopes it will allow for more films set in the Mortal Kombat universe. A string of MK films kould really help in streamlining the kanon, which is a fantastic mess, and one of the wildest of any major franchise.

As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve been an MK fan since day one. Well, since an arcade machine made its way into the pizza place in my small town anyway. I’ll never forget the first time Reptile dropped a clue on me.

I happened to be there alone, and when some of the other regulars showed up, I told them about the green ninja. They of course thought I was full of s#@t, and I kouldn’t really blame them as back then there wasn’t an Internet where one could verify such claims. They saw it for themselves a few days later.
