Oh, Disney. Growing up in the ‘90s, Disney pretty much ruled my world. However, when the ’00s came around, the company took quite the dip in quality. Rather than focus on telling great stories, they shifted their strategy to a quick buck. Over time, that strategy started to fall flat, and in the age of innovation, they found themselves scrambling to regain their credibility.

Not anymore. Between the renaissance of their animated films, their great live-action fare, Marvel, LucasFilm, and Pixar, they are pretty much a one-stop shop for all things magical. In case you needed a reminder of the iron grip Disney has on your childhood, your children’s childhood, and everyone else in between, the studio decided to announce a whole lot of release dates just to remind you.

The House of Mouse announced a whole bevy of release dates for a laundry list of films. So let’s go ahead and just run them down for you.

As you can see from the list above, some of these films are getting release dates for the first time, while others are getting pushed back from previously-announced dates. On this slate, we have three films pushed back — Indiana Jones 5, Wreck-It Ralph, and Gigantic. For the first two, I’d say there’s no reason to worry, as they mostly seemed to getting pushed in favor of other films on the Disney roster, which is to be expected. When you’re juggling as many damn movies as Disney, you can expect a bit of a shakeup every so often.

The only one I’d say is a red flag is the animated film Gigantic. Disney and Pixar tend to be very brutal with these films. When they don’t work, they break them down and build them back up. Two years is quite the shift, so it’s likely that at this point, the film has some major problems that they’re still trying to sort out. However, with John Lasseter still acting as chief creative officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios, we have faith it’ll all get sorted out.

What do you think of these new dates? Which of the films are you looking forward to most? Let us know in the comments down below!
