Little America Showrunner Lee Eisenberg Signs Overall Deal With Apple

Lee Eisenberg, the showrunner for Apple’s upcoming Little America, will be making the tech-and-entertainment company his creative home for a bit longer. Eisenberg has signed a lucrative overall deal with Apple, where he will not only run his current project, but also develop new projects for the streaming service.

The news comes as Eisenberg’s Little America currently sits at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and is considered one of the most hotly anticipated projects to be released in 2020. Under the multiyear agreement, Eisenberg will operate under his new banner, Piece Of Work Entertainment. Additionally, his producer for Little America, Natalie Sandy, will be Vice President of Development for the company.

Eisenberg has enjoyed a long string of successes ever since making it big as head co-writer for NBC’s The Office. Since then, his works include Bad Teacher, Year One, and Hello Ladies. In 2019, Eisenberg co-wrote and co-directed the comedy hit Good Boys, which went on to become both a critical and commercial success. The low budget comedy went on to gross $110 million worldwide. The long list of successes have made Eisenberg a sought-after talent, with numerous scripts sent his way for approval and critiques.

Eisenberg, a six-time Emmy nominee, joins a growing list of new talent acquired by Apple for its months-old streaming service. That list includes The Morning Show‘s Kerry Ehrin, along with Jason Katims, John M. Chu, and Oscar-winning director Alfonso Cuaron.
