April Fools: Live-Action Sitcom Alien Loves Predator Ordered by Netflix

It has been quite some time since we’ve seen Aliens and Predators mentioned in the same headline. The two may have gone up against each other twice already. In today’s news, Netflix has just announced they have greenlit a live-action sitcom, Alien Loves Predator. The unlikely mashup is based on the popular webcomic written by Bernie Hou. In Hou’s webcomic the galaxies most bad-ass species team up and co-habitat a single apartment as roommates.

No word on whether the series will utilize CGI or practical effects to bring the main characters Abe and Preston to life. Though it would be cool to see these two played by real actors as I think it would add a sense of levity to have two great comedians hamming it up weekly.

Since Netflix is footing the bill, we’ll at least get the binge benefit. Fans of science fiction and sitcom comedy will get to finally see what happens when two blood enemies decide to be roomies. The series is bound to involve tongue in cheek jabs at Sarah Jessica Parker and a lot of swear words.

As of this writing, no details on the production have been released, and that’s including cast and crew. Personally, I’d like to see someone like The Orville’s Peter Macon or It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’s Glenn Howerton. If you’re unfamiliar with the comic strip, I’d suggest heading over to the “best of” archive for Alien Loves Predator.

We’ll await further news, but that’s all for now.
