Loki Season 2 Directors Named Ahead Of Filming This Year

Loki Season 2: Moon Knight Directors On What They Will Bring To The Show

In a new report by Deadline, Loki Season 2 directors named ahead of filming this year. The trade says that Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead have come abroad to direct the majority of episodes for Loki Season 2. In terms of when Loki will film, we do have a recent comment from Owen Wilson that filming should get underway soon. You can see that coverage in the related article below.

Deadline also said:

Hiddleston and Michael Waldron, who wrote and served as showrunner in Season 1, will executive produce Season 2. Eric Martin is penning all six episodes.

So Waldron isn’t actually writing Season 2? That I admit disappoints me slightly, no offence to Eric Martin intended. I just really enjoyed Waldron’s writing on Season 1. Hopefully the fact he remains an exec producer will ensure some commonality between the seasons?

Deadline also goes on to say that as of now only Tom Hiddleston is confirmed to return. However this is just objectively wrong. Both Owen Wilson (below) and Gugu Mbtaha-Raw have confirmed they will return for Season 2

It is possible that this story was written some time ago and only published after an agreed date. Benefit of the doubt and all that. It is said that Marvel have been impressed with Benson and Moorhead who directed some episodes of Moon Knight which is the next Marvel show to hit Disney+. The co-directors have previously worked on the likes of The Twilight Zone and Archive 81.

What do you think of of the new Loki Season 2 directors? What about the report that Waldron is only exec producing Loki Season 2? Ultimately, what is it you want to see from Loki Season 2 as a fan? As always, leave any thoughts you have in the usual place below.
