According to the latest Barside Buzz, Loki Season 2 writer Eric Martin is working with Michael Waldron in a writers room for the next two Avengers movies. It was recently established that Waldron was head writer on both Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. Martin and Waldron have worked together before. Waldron was head writer with Martin working under him on Loki Season 1. The Waldron got pulled over to Multiverse of Madness on short notice and Martin finished off Season 1. Martin then was head writer on Loki Season 2.
Alex P from TCC claims on a social media post he’s been told with certainty that Eric Martin is in the writers room working with Waldron on these tentpole movies.
Have it for certain, he’s in the room https://t.co/81Te0L6NYC

With regards to the post Alex is replying to. Toast‘s sentiment is one I’ve heard elsewhere. It kinda proves to me you are only as good as the last thing you made. Waldron and Martin should both be praised for Loki Season 1, it was both of them, but the main bulk of the plot set up was Waldron. Multiverse of Madness was a rush job and wasn’t that popular. Ergo, Waldron is now unpopular. Whereas Martin went on to make Loki S2 which was very popular so he’s flavour of the day.
It’s mad when you think about it, but that’s fans for you.

I think films that are as big and interconnected as these next two Avengers films will be, its good to have writing partners. Even if one person has overall say so, I’d always want to be running my ideas past others for inspiration. We have to assume given Alex good hit rate this is true and that means Waldron and Martin probably enjoy working together.
