What’s the latest Barside Buzz? Well today we are sharing some LOTR show Cirdan rumors. If you know your Tolkien, I probably don’t need to say who Cirdan is. If you don’t, you probably won’t care anyway. To cut a long story short, the man you see in the middle of the header image above from the movies prologue is supposed to be Cirdan. Cirdan is one of the, if not the oldest Elf still alive in Middle-earth around the time of the movies.
We do see Cirdan one more time in the movies when everyone leaves to go West into the Undying Lands at the end. Cirdan the Shipwright has been looking after the Grey Havens for a long long time. and by the time we see him in the movies hardly anyone is left there. The LOTR show as we know is set over 3k years prior to that and as such the Grey Havens, or Mithlond, are probably going to be more populated.
So, are we going to see Cirdan in the LOTR show? Regular leaker for that Amazon show FoF says yes. Check it out below.

Not a lot of information and to be fair, it would have been a little weird if Cirdan didn’t show up at one point. After all, Cirdan was a Ringbearer at this time. Cirdan did give up his Ring of Power, but not until Mithrandrir (Gandalf) arrived in Middle-earth a long time later. The Ring Gandalf has in the movies is the one Cirdan gave him.
How much time we will spend within Mithlond, Cirdan’s realm is unknown? However it does seems like it will at least feature in Season 1 from the rumors above.
