LRM Hot Rumor: New Hellboy Trailer This Week Is Red Band

Earlier this week, there were reports that the new Hellboy film would be getting a new trailer and that it would be attached to the film Greta, starring Chloe Grace Moretz. While we can’t confirm whether or not the trailer is attached to Greta (though it probably is, as every chain is different), we can reveal that it will only be attached to R-rated films this weekend, and that they’ll be connected to those films for a very exciting reason.

Our source has also confirmed that the trailer will be of the red band variety, meaning that we’ll be getting a taste of that gory goodness we’ve all been expecting from this reboot. From day one, it’s been emphasized by star David Harbour that they’d be going as dark and bloody as the comic, and with the film’s rating recently confirmed to be R, it’s nice to know we’ll be getting a taste of that.

The next bit of info is more objective in that our source stated that this trailer was a step up from the first trailer. Personally, I found that trailer to just be “okay,” and my main criticism was that it didn’t do much to differentiate itself from the Guillermo del Toro series, which fans really enjoyed. Hopefully, with this more lenient red band take, it’ll be able to go all-out and help set itself apart from every other superhero story out there.
