Madame Web Trailer – Please Stop Sony, It’s Already Dead

So we have the Madame Web trailer and after seeing it I implore you, please stop Sony, it's already dead. Check it out.

So we have the Madame Web trailer and after seeing it I implore you, please stop Sony, it’s already dead. As in, Sony’s Spider-Man Universe that is. After Oscar winning box office smash Morbius, we thought it could get no better. However, Sony said ‘hold my beer’ and wrote this one in record time.

Okay enough of my opinion, for now. Get ready for a baddie Spider-Man, and some cheap-ass looking film.

Official synopsis.

“‘Meanwhile, in another universe… In a switch from the typical genre, Madame Web tells the standalone origin story of one of Marvel publishing’s most enigmatic heroines.”

“The suspense-driven thriller stars Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who may have clairvoyant abilities. Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women destined for powerful futures…if they can all survive a deadly present.”

Now given what we see in the trailer, there’s definitely differences form the rumors we had early on, (see above). Morbius scribes Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless were reported as writing the Madame Web script. However, the movie now lists Claire Parker and director SJ Clarkson, from a story by Kerem Sanga. Maybe they changed writers and the news wasnlt picked up.

I would say however, if you do intend to watch Madame Web, and don’t want to be spoiled, then don’t click that link above. My guess is what was initially front and centre is now being hidden as a twist in the film. That’s all I’ll say. You can see why this would fit with the previous rumors.

It also seems like they’ve made Ezekiel completely different from his comic book origin. He’s now a bad Spider-Man, kinda. As for this version of Madame Web, I get this is an origin story. However, I don’t see much similarities here whatsoever.

I’d forgive all that if it looked good. To me, it looks very bad. Oh and this comes from someone stupid enough to think Morbius looked decent from the trailers.

As for this SSMU? Please stop Sony, it’s already dead, it’s now getting cruel.

What do you think of this Madame Web trailer? If you can even be bothered, leave your comments below.
