One of the surprises to come out the Marvel’s massive Hall H panel at this year’s San diego Comic-Con was the announcement that Blade would be getting a reboot and joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The role was made famous by Wesley Snipes will now be taken on by Oscar-winning actor, Mahershala Ali.
In the video below, you can see this reboot was initiated by Ali himself, when he requested to talk with Marvel President, Kevin Feige. You can check out Feige describing the situation in the video below.
“When Mahershala Ali wants to meet, you take the meeting.”

It will be Phase 5 before we get to see Marvel’s vampire hunter on the big screen again, but as Feige says above the MCU is incorporating all these supernatural elements and things are going to get very interesting.I’m glad to see the MCU heading in this direction as well as Blade being brought back, in my opinion the Wesley Snipes films did a a lot for superhero genre overall.
