Part of the enjoyment for a fan base of a franchise is a when an actor fully embraces the memorable character they’ve portrayed on screen.
Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark. Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow.
They not only accept a role and play it on screen. They bring the character slightly into the real world by appearing in public as the character, create added content as the character or share images on their social media regarding the franchise they’re apart of.
Mark Hamill may easily be the king of these entertainers. On his Twitter account yesterday, in honor of Father’s Day, he shared an image of his character’s very infamous father from the Star Wars franchise with #HappyFathersDay as the caption.

What followed after his post was a number of fans playing along with the theme, sharing photos of younger Anakin (played by Hayden Christensen) and the voice of Darth Vader himself, James Earl Jones, posing with Hamill in red carpet photos. Some of these photos were followed by gifs of the Key & Peele “Noice!” skit. Fans went on to include other fatherly moments from the franchise, including the unforgettable moment between Han Solo and Kylo Ren in The Force Awakens.
