Here's a roundup of Marvel's D23 presentation including, a new Doomsday trailer, a VisionQuest trailer and date, plus X-Men casting announcement and date.

Here’s a roundup of Marvel’s D23 presentation including, a new Doomsday trailer, a VisionQuest trailer and date, plus X-Men casting announcement and date. Let’s get started.

Below we have a video from Brandon Davis showcasing the entire panel. The only missing gaps within the video are the trailers themselves which we also have below. Therefore, if you prefer video content, watch Brandon’s video, then the two trailers below and you have the lot.

X-Men May, 2028

The main news to cover outside the trailers is of course X-Men. As predicted, X-Men is coming to theatres on May 5, 2028. Meaning that it is indeed the next MCU film after Avengers: Secret Wars and will be followed in 2028 by Ghost Rider in July and then Black Panther 3 in December.

Marvel boss Kevin Feige introduced some of the new cast of the X-Men film, but pointed out this was not everyone. We know that the role of Beast is still to be locked down and there could be more.

Of those introduced, there were some we knew and two surprises. Of those we knew, Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost and Adam Driver as Mister Sinister. Christopher Abbot was heavily rumored for Professor X in the last 48 hours and those rumors were true. The surprises were Inde Navarette as Rogue (Cailee Spaeny heavily rumored) and Maya Boyd as Storm.

The only role leakers are sure needs to be filled is Beast, whom Charles Melton is rumored to be in talks to play. As said though, there could be others, even if not as major roles as those already announced.

Driver aside, this is a younger cast who are not yet commanding massive fees. Given they all likely signed multi-film contracts, Marvel are banking on these films making them into mega stars. Sink’s profile is certainly higher than the others and one assumes is the central lead of the franchise for now. The character has already appeared in Spider-Man: Brand New Day and is rumored to next appear in Secret Wars.

As for already mega star Adam Driver, I do hope this role is not a one and done, but that he’s being built up as the next big bad of the MCU in this Mutant Saga.

Doomsday and VisionQuest

As for Avengers: Doomsday, which will kick of the end of the current Multiverse Saga this December, we have a new trailer, or special look to be precise.

Check it out,

Finally, we have the first trailer for VisionQuest starring Paul Bettany and James Spader. Apart from the fact Marvel considers this the third part in a trilogy including WandaVision and Agatha All Along I’ll just let the cool looking and mad trailer do the rest of the talking.

VisionQuest hits Disney+ on October 14th.

What do you think of the trailers for Doomsday and VisionQuest? What are your takes on the X-Men casting so far? Thoughts below as always.
