Some new rumors have hit the web indicating we’ll see Squadron Supreme in Loki S2. Not only that, but that Henry Cavill is in talks to play Hyperion. The main source for these rumors comes from CineStealth, as you’ll see by the posts below.

From what I gather, Loki S2 will introduce Squadron Supreme as a The Boys-style riff on the Justice League from another timeline. Arrogant, evil analogues for Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, etc… but they end up working for/with Kang as his muscle in Kang Dynasty. https://t.co/4MXAA06vHh

Now, whilst I cannot attest to the validity of these claims, I can say this is not the first hint at this I’ve seen. There have been a few rumors I couldn’t quite get to a solid statement on till this. Does that mean it’s 100% true? no, not by a long shot. My guess is that Squadron Supreme are planned, but even this source says Cavill is not a lock, yet anyway.

Now obviously there are some concerned Marvel and DC fans about this one. Henry Cavill playing Marvel’s version of an evil Superman? I would have thought Cavill had enough of playing evil Superman in the Snyder movies, how about a shot at a hero this time? Okay jokes aside, I guess Cavill would be okay as Hyperion. Though, I was never much of a fan of the Squadron Supreme, they were z list bad guys at best. Used as muscle for Kang… okay, that could be interesting, if done well.

Always figured Cavill would end up in the MCU one day, didn’t think it’d be this quick, or this character. Thing is Loki S2 is filming right now. So are the Squadron Supreme only a tease that leads into Avengers: The Kang Dynasty? I mean if Cavill is only in talks and nothing is signed, that’s gonna have to change soon if he’s got to film scenes for Loki S2. That’s also going to cause a slight issue, as Cavill is currently filming The Witcher S3 which recently had a delay due to Cavill having COVID.

I guess we shall have to wait and see how accurate this is.
