Marvel Studios: Legends Disney+ Show Announced!

I guess this one just was not exciting enough to be revealed at the Disney Investor Day, but a Marvel Studios: Legends Disney+ show announced today. Details remain slim, as you will see below, but my initial guess was a peek behind the evolution of these MCU characters on screens. Now I don’t even think it will be that interesting.

According to Marvel,

Marvel Studios: Legends is a new series that revisits some of the most iconic moments from the MCU, one character at a time. Kicking off with Wanda Maximoff and Vision, the first two episodes start streaming Jan. 8, only on #DisneyPlus.

Further details as follows shed a little more light on how Marvel Studios: Legends will work.

As the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand, Marvel Studios: Legends celebrates and codifies what has come before. Revisit the epic heroes, villains and moments from across the MCU in preparation for the highly anticipated stories still to come. Each dynamic segment feeds directly into the upcoming series premiering on Disney+ — setting the stage for future events. Marvel Studios: Legends weaves together the many threads that constitute the unparalleled Marvel Cinematic Universe.

So, it’s gonna be a clip show isn’t it? Before each show, we will get to see some history of the characters leading up to that point in the MCU. In other words, if you were late to the MCU party, this will be your catch up before each new show.

Honestly, this sounds a tedious waste of time to me, but then, I don’t need a catch up do I? So maybe there is someone out there who will appreciate these catch me ups? There will be many fans who just watch it anyway, because, why not? However, what I hope is that I am being unfair. That instead my first instinct was more on point. Disney Gallery/ Star Wars: The Mandalorian has been very interesting, I’d love to see something similar for each MCU series and maybe we will? However, it sounds more like Legends will be a clip show. Maybe they can get Troy McClure to present Legends? No, sadly I’d never want anyone else but not late Phil Hartman to voice Troy.

What are your thoughts on Marvel Studios: Legends? Thoughts below.
