Isabela Merced, a versatile actress with an extensive resume, has showcased her talent in a variety of genres, from romance to comedies to action and serious drama. In Turtles All the Way Down, she takes on the challenging role of a young woman with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), further demonstrating her ability to immerse herself in diverse characters.
The success of Turtles All the Way Down is a testament to the collaborative effort of the entire cast and crew. The talented ensemble includes Cree (Mr. Iglesias), J Smith-Cameron (Succession), Felix Mallard (Ginny & Georgia), and Hannah Marks (Don’t Make Me Go). Turtles All the Way Down tackles anxiety through its 17-year-old protagonist, Aza Holmes. It’s not easy being Aza, but she’s trying…..trying to be a good daughter, a good friend, and a good student, all while navigating an endless barrage of invasive, obsessive thoughts that she cannot control. When she reconnects with Davis, her childhood crush, Aza is confronted with fundamental questions about her potential for love, happiness, friendship, and hope.

Isabela Merced started as a child actor at a very young age. She landed the lead role of CJ Martin in the Nickelodeon series 100 Things to Do Before High School from 2014 to 2016. She lends her voice as Kate, one of the main characters in Dora and Friends: Into the City!, a Dora the Explorer spinoff. She expanded her filmography into various films that included Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Transformers: The Last Knight, Instant Family, The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature, Madame Web, and even as the lead in Dora and the Lost City of Gold. She will be seen in the upcoming films Alien: Romulus, Superman, and the second season of The Last of Us.
