Today’s latest Barside Buzz covers various MCU rumors for Spider-Man 4, Captain America: Brave New World, Fantastic Four and What If? Season 2. As always, this is all just rumor until anything official. However, as per usual, I tend to only publish the ones I think are most legit, or interesting. As such, I figured we’d do a collection of recent MCU rumors from some of the usual suspects.
Let’s start with Daniel Richtman who posted on his Patreon service about a possible start date for filming Spider-Man 4. According to what he has heard, the movie looks set to begin production late 2024. Of course for now we know no details about what is coming, or even that we are definitely getting a Spider-Man 4. However, we are definitely getting a Spider-Man 4 folks.
Moving on to Captain America: Brave New World and Richtman is back. This time he posts on social media that we should not expect to see old man Steve Rogers.

As you can see debunking a claim from one of those many Twitter accounts we see popping up.
There is potentially some more Brave New World information. Alex P of TCC says he’s very excited about what he’s heard of this movie.

That’s a decent amount of hype because The Winter Soldier was a top MCU movie. However, jury is still out for me on this non-super version of Cap. Sam needs a power up for me. I know some fans disagree, others agree with me, it’s all subjective.

Next up is Fantastic Four and MTTSH claims that the first Herald of Galactus we meet will be female.

For those wondering, there is no suggestion that means Silver Surfer just got gender swapped. Galactus has had many Heralds and many of them were female. If this checks out, and without production even set yet, I’m not sure how story details are getting out.
Last up, another source. This time to give some plot details of one of the upcoming What If? Season 2 episodes.

Exciting stuff guys! Nah, I joke, but this actually sounds more interesting to me than what I thought. What I thought was that Hela just gets the 10 Rings and then becomes the Ultron level unstoppable for Season 2. However, that could be a bad-ass thing and this could be as bad as good guy Thanos from Season 1?
