Michael Bay In Talks To Direct Action Flick Black Five For Sony

Michael Bay hasn’t even released his next film 6 Underground (which comes from writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick), and we don’t even know the full status of another of his movies, Robopocalypse, but the man is already in talks to helm another film, this time for the studio Sony Pictures.

Deadline is reporting that the long-time Transformers director may be on board to helm a film called Black Five, which is being coined as an ensemble drama.

Details regarding the film’s story elude us, but it is said that the film will be expectedly big, and will have a big sci-fi element. They are looking at an early 2020 production with a big male lead at the forefront. Penning the script is Dumbo and Transformers: Age of Extinctions screenwriter Ehren Kruger.

Bay’s latest effort, 6 Underground, is set to hit Netflix at some later date.
